Mena and Missy

Mena Alexa Suvari was born in 1979. She is an American fashion designer, model and actress. After a brief period as a model for fashion and then a transition to acting when she appeared as guest actors on television shows like Boy Meets World in the 1990s, and High Incident. She debuted in film with the show Nowhere which was that was released in the year 1997. Her roles were in American Beauty, for which she received the BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie attracted a lot of public attention. Since then she appeared as a co-star in Loser (2000) with her American Pie co-star Jason Biggs as well as later portrayed the lead character in the comedy film Sugar & Spice (2001). She had appearances in the 2002 independent drama Spun and the 2004 thriller film Trauma. Other appearances on HBO include the drama Six Feet Under. In 2008, Suvari was cast in various films like Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as in the adaptation of The Garden of Eden. Suvari was a Lancome Paris Adaptive model and Lancome Paris cosmetics print ad girl has featured in numerous fashion and lifestyle magazines, such as Vogue. She has been a strong activist and supporter of the African Medical and Research Foundation. In addition, she has been involved on issues of empowerment and empowerment for women and charities who promote breast cancer research as well as End Violence Against Women.
